Fans Are Very Excited About Who’s Playing Dumbledore in the Next Fantastic Beasts Movie

fter months of speculation, we finally know who will be playing the young Albus Dumbledore in the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

The role will go to Jude Law, who’s currently starring in HBO’s The Young Pope and will appear in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword later this year.

Law will portray a 40-something Dumbledore, several decades before he becomes headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
“Jude Law is a phenomenally talented actor whose work I’ve long admired and I’m looking forward to finally having the opportunity to work with him,” director David Yates said in a statement to Pottermore. “I know he will brilliantly capture all the unexpected facets of Albus Dumbledore as J.K. Rowling reveals this very different time in his life.”
